Hello and welcome! I’m so excited (and honestly, a little nervous) to be starting this blog. As a solo stay-at-home mom with ADHD, I juggle a lot. I’m here to share my journey, from the beauty and chaos of motherhood to my love for Jesus, healthy eating, music/worship, the outdoors, and building community. Life as a solo mom is far from perfect – it’s messy, hard, and sometimes overwhelming. But every bit of the journey is worth it, and I’m grateful for each moment that’s helped shape me.

Let me start by saying that motherhood has been the most humbling experience of my life. As someone with ADHD, organization doesn’t come naturally, and the day-to-day tasks often feel like a mountain I’m constantly climbing. There are days when my mind is scattered, the to-do list is too long, and the laundry is never-ending. Add the responsibilities of being both mom and dad, and let’s just say there are plenty of days where grace is my lifeline. But even in the mess, there’s something deeply beautiful about this season.

My life line

One of the things that keeps me grounded is my faith in Jesus. On those rough days when I feel I’ve reached my limit, turning to God is my constant source of strength. Worship music fills my home, reminding me of His promises and His love that never fails. Singing out loud and lifting my hands up is my way of connecting to Him, feeling His presence in my everyday moments. Worship has become more than music to me; it’s become the thread that holds my heart together when things get tough.

Health

Another big part of my life is the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. With ADHD, I’ve learned that what I put in my body affects everything from my energy to my mood and focus. Finding a balance with healthy eating is both a challenge and a gift. Whether it’s prepping meals in bulk or sneaking in greens whenever I can, I see food as fuel to help me be the best version of myself for my family. It’s not about perfection – there are days we have takeout, and that’s okay. It’s about showing up for myself so I can show up for my child.

Nature

The outdoors is my happy place. When the walls of my house feel too close, or when the mess is just too much to deal with, I pack us up and head outside. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a hike, or even just sitting in the backyard, being in nature gives me peace and perspective. It reminds me that there’s a bigger world out there, and I’m not alone in my journey.

Community

But I couldn’t do this without my community. Building a village as a solo mom has been essential. Friends and family, my church family, and other moms who “get it” are my lifelines. We weren’t meant to do life alone, and I’m so grateful for the people who are willing to come alongside me, whether it’s through an encouraging text, a coffee date, or simply listening. Community has taught me that it’s okay to ask for help, and it’s okay to be vulnerable. We’re all just doing our best.

So here’s to embracing the mess, to the strength we find in Jesus, to fueling our bodies, to singing our hearts out, to grounding ourselves in nature, and to finding comfort in community. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. I’m grateful for this life and excited to share more of my journey with you. Thank you for being here – let’s walk this path together!
